I think GW can do more than cosmetics... It did great before the updates with only cosmetic goals.

You sound like you beat the game, tried to find something else to conquer, but couldn't, so you want the developers to make new stuff you can get your hands on that makes stuff blow up faster or w/e.
I'd recommend playing a new game, since GW2 sounds slow to come out.
Having things to choose from is okay until someone finds the best choices, and then everyone goes for that one. That's why meta exists. If those choices were shifted more often, then more opportunities for diversity would be open.
Making more stuff is good, but it's no solution once everyone's got it.

More seriously, though, every time I see one of the 'GW is all about <foo>' threads I must wonder whether people realize that they are describing their own aspirations rather than those presented by the game. The game environment caters to may different player groups and playing styles but it seems to be a deeply ingrained psychological tendency to explain everything from a single, anecdotal point of view.
No, GW is not all about being the prettiest any more than it is all about having the most maxed titles, or having killed the largest number of opponents in RA, or having performed the best re-enactment of the Lumberjack Song on the Henge of Dendravi stage. It's all about whatever you make out of it.

As usual, Tmaki nails it pretty much. I laughed after reading your first sentence.

What's wrong with looking pretty if you can? It's not hard to max out stuff now, and I like how everyone can be on a level playing field stats-wise.

"I feel pretty."
Guild Wars is serious business.

you can't just say "STFU" to people who don't agree with you. Are you just here to get "yes you're right" comments or are you here to discuss your opinion. If you can't have a simple discussion, like i said go play another game which I already suggested. That one has the characteristics that you want in a game.
If GW had any weapons/armors that gave statistical bonus to people, that would ruin the game and make it like WoW which many people do not want. The reason being time > skill instead of vice versa. If you can't grasp this concept, I can't do anything else.

LMAO
On topic: I like my toons look good to me. And I like to have nice looking weapons for them also. But the best thing is - my taste is different than that of the majority of playerbase.
